Welcome To Our April Newsletter

Properties with Purpose.

Easter, the celebration of hope and new beginnings. Its financial Literacy month! Help Inn Folk conducted our first financial workshop for the residents of our home, and it was a great success! The attendees were eager to learn about the principles of money management and were thrilled to dive into T Harv Eker's book, 'Secrets Of a Millionaire Mind' - one of the most inspiring books on the topic. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were electric, and it was heartwarming to see our residents take such a proactive stance towards their financial futures. This exciting step is just the beginning of our journey to empower our community to take control of their finances and achieve their financial dreams.

Financial literacy is a critical skill for individuals in underserved communities, as it can help break the cycle of poverty and improve their overall financial well-being. Unfortunately, many people in these communities lack access to financial education and resources, leaving them vulnerable to predatory lending practices, high-interest rates, and debt. By improving financial literacy, individuals can learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management. These skills can help them make informed financial decisions and build a solid foundation for their future. It is important for organizations and individuals to invest in financial literacy programs and resources to empower underserved communities with the knowledge and tools to improve their financial situation. By doing so, we can promote economic equality and provide opportunities for individuals to achieve financial stability and independence.

Help Inn Folk is now a certifed member of the National Coalition For the Homeless.

Collaboration is Key...

We are delighted to have new referral partners on board, these organisations are doing great work in the community, Geneieve Small, a long standing partner, founder of Malea Home Away From Home, Remi Jules Founder of Elect Housing Solutions, Ashley Campbell founder of Women On The Rise, Men On the, and Juanita Eason Founder of Wee Care Transitional Home. For us collaboration is key in addressing complex issues such as homelessness. By bringing together different organizations, community leaders, and individuals, we can leverage diverse skills, knowledge, and resources to develop effective solutions. Collaboration enables us to identify and address the root causes of homelessness, such as poverty, mental illness, and addiction. It also allows for a more coordinated approach in delivering our services, such as housing. Through collaboration, we can create a more sustainable and inclusive society that benefits everyone.

'Collaboration and cooperation will beat competition every time'.
