Properties with Purpose

As we arrive at the final month of the year, we pause with full hearts. December marks not just the close of another year, but a moment to reflect on the journey, the lessons, and the connections that carried us through. At Help Inn Folk, we are deeply grateful for the continued support, partnerships, and trust that have allowed us to serve our community with purpose and compassion.
This season reminds us of the power of togetherness. As holiday lights fill our streets and families gather, we are reminded that connection, care, and stability are what truly make a house feel like home.
I’m truly honored to be recognized by Who’s Who in America among the influential professionals for 2025. ✨ Since 1898, Marquis has celebrated the achievements of the world’s most accomplished individuals, so receiving this recognition is both humbling and inspiring.
✨ This honor reflects the incredible work our team does each day — creating solutions, empowering people, and transforming lives through safe, supportive housing communities.
✨ As we close the year, I’m filled with gratitude for our partnerships, collaborations, and every person who makes this mission possible. Here’s to continuing the work and embracing all the opportunities 2026 will bring. |

As the holiday season unfolds, National Grief Awareness Week serves as a heartfelt reminder that this time of year can be especially painful for many, particularly those carrying the weight of recent or past loss. On the first day of winter—the longest night of the year—we also observe National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, a solemn moment to honor and remember those who died while living without the safety and stability of a home. In addition to local memorials held in communities across the country, the National Health Care for the Homeless Council is hosting a virtual gathering, creating space for people nationwide to come together in shared remembrance and reflection.
The Importance of Taking Care of YourselfDecember can be a joyful season, but it can also be emotionally demanding. Between year-end responsibilities, family expectations, and reflections on the past year, it’s easy to overlook the importance of caring for yourself. Taking time to rest, reset, and recharge is not a luxury — it is essential. Self-care looks different for everyone. It may mean slowing down, setting boundaries, asking for help, or simply allowing yourself moments of quiet. When we take care of our mental, emotional, and physical well-being, we are better equipped to show up for others and continue doing meaningful work. As we move through this holiday season, we encourage everyone to be gentle with themselves and to prioritize balance, reflection, and wellness. |

December is a reminder that while the year may be ending, the work of compassion, service, and community continues. Thank you for being part of our journey and for standing with Help Inn Folk as we work toward a future rooted in dignity, stability, and hope.
We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and meaningful holiday season.
