Properties with Purpose

Happy New Year! As we step into January, we welcome a fresh beginning filled with new opportunities, renewed hope, and the promise of all the blessings a new year can bring. This is a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and to look forward with intention, purpose, and gratitude.\
At Help Inn Folk, we are excited about what lies ahead in 2026. The new year brings growth, expanded services, and a deeper commitment to supporting individuals and families in our community with compassion and care.
Expanding Our Services: Supporting Care at Home
We are proud to share that Help Inn Folk has partnered with Homecare provider Lowes Guardian Angel is now offering new services through Medicaid Waiver Programs in Georgia, allowing us to better support families, children, and seniors who need care in their homes and communities.
These programs are designed to help individuals receive quality care outside of institutional settings, promoting independence, dignity, and stability.
GAPP Waiver Program: Serving Medically Fragile Children

The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) serves:
Medically fragile children under the age of 21 who require hospital-level or continuous skilled nursing care at home
Families who want to keep their children safely at home while accessing essential medical and personal care services
Through GAPP, eligible families can receive skilled nursing, personal care, and respite services, helping reduce long hospital stays and providing much-needed support to caregivers.
EDWP Waiver Program: Supporting Seniors and Adults with Disabilities
The Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) serves:
Older adults and physically disabled adults who meet nursing-home level care requirements but prefer to remain at home or in community-based settings
Participants may receive a wide range of services, including personal care assistance, meal support, housekeeping, adult day health services, emergency response systems, therapies, alternative living services, and respite care. These services help individuals maintain independence, safety, and quality of life while staying connected to their communities.
If you know someone who could benefit from these services, we encourage you to reach out.

January Blues and the Importance of Mental Health
January is often described as the longest month of the year. The holidays have passed, routines return, and the cold weather can take a toll on mental and emotional well-being. It’s important to acknowledge the “January blues” and take intentional steps to care for yourself.
Self-care can look different for everyone. It may mean resting, reconnecting with loved ones, setting realistic goals, seeking support, or simply giving yourself permission to slow down. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and prioritizing it sets the tone for the year ahead.
As we begin this new year, we encourage everyone to be gentle with themselves and to reach out for help when needed.
Looking Ahead
January represents possibility. It’s a reminder that new chapters can begin at any time. We are grateful for the trust and support of our community and look forward to continuing our work of providing care, stability, and opportunity to those we serve.
Here’s to a year of growth, compassion, and positive change.
