Welcome To February Newsletter!

Properties with Purpose

February is often called the month of love. While many associate it with Valentine’s Day, love is far greater than a single holiday. It is something we express daily — through kindness, patience, creativity, and connection.

This month, we are reminded that love is not just about romantic relationships. It is about loving your neighbor, loving your community, and even loving yourself enough to participate in activities that uplift your spirit.

At Help Inn Folk, we have witnessed firsthand how meaningful it is when individuals rediscover joy in simple creative expression.

Finding Peace Through Creativity

This month, several of our tenants participated in arts and crafts activities. The room was filled with quiet focus, laughter, and a sense of calm.

One tenant shared that it had been a long time since they created any artwork because they had never truly found peace. Anyone who creates art understands that peace is essential. Creativity flows best when the mind is settled and the heart feels safe.

Miss Tracey lovingly knitted a beautiful kitchen blanket for the worktop.

Ms. Arnice crafted a thoughtful placemat for the coffee table.

And Mr. Ronnie found inspiration through poetry.

These may seem like small activities, but they represent something much deeper — healing, stability, and the rediscovery of self.

A Poem from Mr. Ronnie

Mr. Ronnie was inspired to write a poem dedicated to his aunt, who has supported him throughout his life. He wanted to share his words to encourage and inspire others.

Here is his poem:

If you're tired, pray.

If you're lost, pray.

If you're angry, pray.

If you're grateful, pray.

Prayer isn't just for when life falls apart — it's for every moment you breathe.

When you wake up in the morning, thank Him.

When you go through challenges, trust Him.

When you win, praise Him.

Because the same God who got you through yesterday

is the same God already working on your tomorrow.

Never underestimate what God can do in your life.

He can take your deepest pain and turn it into your greatest purpose.

He can take your weakness and turn it into your strength.

He can take a broken heart and build something beautiful from it.

Maybe right now you're asking, “Why is this happening to me?”

But one day you'll look back and understand.

God doesn't waste pain — He uses it.

So keep praying.

— Love, Sunshine

We are grateful to Ronnie for allowing us to share his words.

At Help Inn Folk, we are thankful for the support and partnerships we have forged within our community. We remain committed to being a provider that demonstrates love and care through our actions — not just in February, but every single day.

Love is shown in how we serve.

Love is shown in how we listen.

Love is shown in how we create safe spaces for healing and growth.

As we continue through this month of love, we encourage everyone to participate in activities that bring peace, joy, and restoration to your spirit.

Because sometimes, the greatest expression of love begins with giving yourself permission to heal.
